Weitz-White is the director of Education Initiatives at The Sherwood Foundation. She works with the Omaha Public Schools to support innovative opportunities for teachers and students, bringing in local and national institutions for collaborative projects, and is responsible for the foundation’s education research and evaluation activities. Currently, Katie serves as the Secretary of the Board for Building Bright Futures, she is the Education Committee chair and a board member of Film Streams, and is board member elect of Girls Inc. of Omaha.
