Building Bright Futures was started in 2006 to address challenges students in Douglas and Sarpy Counties were facing and then worked to find ways to provide needed support and services to those students. One need was supporting students during and after high school to continue through higher education and into the workforce. Bright Futures Foundation was then started in January 2008 to support students of talent and financial need to reach their goals after high school.
